Doing it their way
Cat and Kevin are no ordinary couple and didn’t want an ordinary wedding. Their bulldog Philip accompanied Kevin down the aisle, and just about everything about this wedding was non-traditional and suited them to a tee — from the wedding “pie” (Cat loves to bake pies!), down to the colourful handkerchief that Kevin actually had to use when their pup accidentally popped him in the nose and he got a nose-bleed! This wedding venue was the perfect personality fit.
Match made in heaven
While there were a lot of laughs and antics in an atmosphere of great fun with this group, the bond that Cat and Kevin shared was unmistakeable. I first met Catherine when she was a bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding, and subsequently at her cousin Karla’s wedding - both weddings that I had the honour of photographing. Some years later I received a message from Cat saying that she and Kevin were ready! I was super-excited to be with them on their day, and also happy to see her family again, as I’d previously discovered some serendipity connections with my own family!
