Already a well-established photographer in her field, Lucy provides top-notch service to her paying clients, which includes privacy if requested for their photographs. For this reason, Lucy is running aPortfolio Expansion model call.
Seeking clients for maternity and newborn photography
for the purpose of refreshing her body of work on her website and socials.
You are eager to receive services from Lucy for significant savings
in exchange for full permissions for portfolio use, and a testimonial on your experience.
The Offer
Session fees waived for both the maternity and newborn sessions (value $370)
Ten high-resolution images from each session (total 20 images) at no charge (value $900)

Model Call Requirements
Lucy welcomes couples who meet the model call conditions, regardless of race, colour, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or marital status. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
This call is for the same family to do both the maternity and the newborn photo sessions. No model calls will be taken for only maternity or only newborn at this time.
First time parent(s) only. No additional children will be accommodated for this call and no other family member(s) besides the parent(s) can be included. Families with more than one child or extended families are welcomed to book a paid session by contacting Lucy here
Pets ok but will be included at photographer’s discretion. Dog/ cat hair must be cleaned prior to photo session. Dogs must be supervised and secured away from the session when requested
Both photo sessions must be carried out in 2023, no exceptions. Inability to schedule within this timeline will result in forfeiture of the outstanding session(s)
For maternity, client must be at least 31-33 weeks along for the session. Newborn photography will be scheduled within 2 weeks of birth.
Clients must sign a contract for services
Clients must live within 50km of Lucy Baum Photography (eligible locations Montreal, West Island, Ile Perrot, Vaudreuil-Dorion St. Lazare, Hudson, Rigaud) or will be subject to a travel fee
Session details
Clients must agree/ obtain appropriate wardrobe requirements. Please reference the preferred wardrobe guide here
Clients must agree to any/ all posing and direction
Sessions are to take place at client’s home. Client must provide at least two photography areas: Primary bedroom and living room, free of clutter and ideally with neutral or solid colours for furnishings (no stripes, patterns etc for bedding). A nursery must also be available for newborn photographs. Colour palettes sought: Earth tones, deeper blues, sienna, mustards. TO AVOID: pastels, purples, reds/pinks, lavender. Photos need to be submitted and environment and all items used (bedding, baby blankets, outfits) are subject to photographer approval. If you do not wish to be constrained by photographer requirements then you are welcomed to book a paid session by contacting Lucy here
A model release must be signed, granting full permissions for the use of any and all photos from the sessions, to be used for any marketing purpose. You will also be asked to provide a testimonial for your honest thoughts about working with Lucy, to be used at photographer’s discretion. Main areas will be website and photographer’s socials. No overly intimate photos (such as breastfeeding) will be used in marketing. The highest level of integrity is always maintained and photographs will never be used for false, defamatory, or misleading or false advertising. Is your family story disappearing in a sea of social media?
Digital images are great as a backup and to share in our social media with friends and family, but your family’s legacy and history needs to be built beyond our new culture of hundreds of thousands of casual photos being created and posted every day. The joy you create with your photographer can and should be made tangible in an increasingly intangible world, so that your family story remains prominent and important in your lives. In the days gone by, we put photos into albums and frames, and stored the negatives. Digital images are the negatives of our time, because even their appearance online is brief and fleeting until they get served up in a social media memory, and so we’re losing the other, and most important part - displaying and cataloguing those photographs in the enduring medium of print.
Print orders (wall prints/ art, and cards) may be made directly through your final online gallery. Larger, custom orders and albums can be done directly through Lucy.
Photographs are the stills of your life, as art.
