Lucy, Noir. The cabin in the woods

The flooding in our area this past Spring caused a lot of damage to properties right by the water. Knowing that in my 5 years in this neighbourhood I've never seen a soul at this little cabin, I had to go check it out when the water levels rose. And indeed this little place, like many others, was underwater.

When the waters receded, I headed out one day to assess the damage, and rushed right back with my camera. The sun setting over the water and shining onto this place was nothing short of spectacular - long shadows, interesting highlights. I'm not at all surprised that someone built this cabin to take advantage of the sunsets.

I'm not sure what the fate of this cabin is. Apparently family members have peeked in on it once in a while (as I was told by neighbours), but the property, right at the water line, can't have much integrity anymore given the extensive flooding. The cabin may not last, but that view is eternal.
